The gorgeous Jan Constantine Cockatoo Cushion is exquisitely appliquéd and hand embroidered in wool felt onto a black background. The sulphur crested cockatoo is a fine specimen of a bird, adorned with beautiful cream and yellow plumage, sitting upon a branch, surrounded by big, bold tropical leaves in shades of green, stitched with blanket stitch and chain stitch. The edges of the cushion are blanket stitched in green and there is a two button opening on the back.
This design was inspired when Jan met one of these beauties while staying in the Australian subtropical rainforest with friends.
