The appliquéd peace doves are stitched in antique gold thread and the delicate Alpine flora is hand embroidered in the old fashioned way with blanket stitch, chain stitch and French knots and the whole scene is bordered with jolly red scallops. The edges of the cushion are blanket stitched with contrast thread and the cushion opens on the back with 2 mother of pearl buttons.
